Val Thorens 2025 - An HQ Ski Trip to Remember
Following an epic 2024, the Hooper Quinn team once more took to the mountains for our annual ski trip and some well-earned rest and recuperation, HQ-style.
In the year since our last excursion to La Rosière, Hooper Quinn has welcomed a host of new clients and new projects, across all four of our divisions. Our new partners have brought us some awesome engineering challenges, to which we have enthusiastically applied ourselves, resulting in some great advances and innovations. The team has grown since last year, too, and it was a privilege to be joined on and off piste by some of our new colleagues.
To cap off the year’s successes, then, we decided to “go big” and head to the plush resort of Val Thorens in Les Trois Vallées. Located in the Tarntaise Valley, the 3 Valleys is the largest connected ski area in the world. Connecting Val Thorens with seven other resorts, a dizzying 600km of slopes snake their way down from the crystalline peaks of the Savoie department to the lip of the cloud cover below and onward, deep into the alpine valleys.
The trip itself delivered good craic, a proposal, a busted shoulder, buckets of amaretto-laced hot chocolate, and enough fondu cheese to cause permanent damage. And team-building came by necessity. Bookended by a landslide near Moûtiers on arrival at Geneva airport (leading to an impromptu scramble to hire some wheels and cram ourselves in with the luggage) and burgers and ice cream on the turquoise shores of Lac d’Annecy on our return leg, we were gifted with a week of perfect weather and ideal snow.
Thank you to all the team for your dedication, integrity, and camaraderie. Now please enjoy this selection of pictures and videos of our combined shenanigans:
