Hooper Quinn sets out British Heart Foundation donation pledge

With the rapid growth of our operation, we believe it’s important to reflect on our origins and the people that have helped us become who we are today.

The British Heart Foundation is a UK charity which holds a special place in the mind of our company and of its founder in particular. That’s why we are thrilled to announce our pledge to donate a portion of our yearly income directly to the British Hear Foundation.

Established in 1961, the British Heart Foundation fund around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and their associated risks, causes, diagnoses, and treatments, including heart diseases, stroke, vascular dementia, and diabetes. While investing research into transplants, pacemakers, defibrillators, and valve replacements, they also perform influential work to shape public policy and raise awareness for those affected by heart disease. The charity is a British institution, celebrated and loved by the general population (a 2021 study by YouGov listed the BHF as the number one top-ranked charity or organisation in the UK by popular opinion).

We at Hooper Quinn plan to increase our contribution as we grow as a company and hope we can serve the charity well into the future.

“Funding research is how we change the game. And we all have a role to play. The tools we have at our disposal today - from heart transplants and pacemakers to stents and portable defibrillators - are all down to research.”
